Dr. Regan and Dr. Hird have been steadily growing their team with allied in-house dental specialists to better serve their patients, and they are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Mandana Nematollahi. She is a certified specialist in periodontics with specialized training from the University of Manitoba and UCLA.
Periodontics is a branch of dentistry that manages diseases and conditions affecting the supporting tissues around teeth and dental implants, and replaces missing teeth with dental implants. This can involve a variety of treatments including scaling and root planing, surgeries such as grafting and sinus procedures, and other therapies. Most people might not realize that their regular dental hygiene appointments are a form of preventive periodontal care. More complex needs are handled dentists in collaboration with periodontists such as Dr. Nematollahi.
Spear Campus in Scottsdale AZ hosted the annual CERECdoctors Mentor Meeting on October 6-7. Recognized as leaders by the CERECdoctors community, Dr. Regan and Dr. Hird often mentor other doctors at various courses on campus. Dr. Hird represented the office this year and attended ten different lectures over two days, getting the latest updates CAD/CAM dentistry and learning about complex treatments using digital workflows.
Dr. Tsukada will add extra depth to the care we provide our patients who are suffering from complex oral health issues, such as: TMJ/jaw dysfunction, oral-facial pain, soft tissue conditions, oral cancer, and general health problems affecting the mouth.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Tsukada is a clinical assistant professor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry, a specialist staff member at Vancouver General Hospital, and a staff member at the BC Cancer Agency in the Oral Oncology outpatient clinic and the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant program.
